Genoid: Android Theme for Ubuntu


Genoid is GTK theme inherited from Android for Ubuntu users. It converts GNOME desktop to that of Android with Android wallpapers, icons, cursors etc.

Whats New:
-reworked theme, icons
-add cursor
-add installer




How to install:
Right Click desktop and click Change Desktop. Click Theme tab, drag and drop theme's archive in appearance preferences window.

Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope.

Nokia Image Space App for S60

Nokia Image Space is a new photo viewing app. It links Flickr account with Image space to easily browse pictures from Nokia S60 3.2 or 5.0 devices.


Built in Compass and GPS is required to Geo-tag your images  taken which not only records image orientation only but also its Position too in the metadata.



Future developments:
Given a suitable amount of pictures of a particular place, it generates a 3D spatial browsing presentation. This feature is in its early stages and will be coming in couple of months

Adobe flash 10 plugin for IE/Safari/Firefox browser. Works on Nokia N97 Mini, 6210 Navigator, 6710 Navigator, 6720 Classic.

Orkut team launched video chat in Orkut for orkut users. Its pretty much same like Google Video Chat. Orkut Video chat requires plugin downloadable from http://google.com/chat/video and validation of Email Address

Aren't we tired of Firefox 3.6 revisions? Its the 5th one which we are coming across. Yes, Firefox 3.6 Beta revision 5 released today. Merge Duplicate GMail Contacts

Google recently added a new feature for GMail service. This features makes easier to handle large contacts list with duplicate entries. Previously we had to merge duplicate contacts one by one which was a hectic task. Importing contacts from other Email services providers to GMail will help to merge repeated contacts and shrinking contacts list for quick sync of Android, iPhone, Blackberry devices!

How To:
-Sign into GMail and go to Contacts at bottom of left sidebar
-Click Find Duplicate


-Check which contact are meant to be merged and Click Merge 


Google Nexus One [Specs+Video]

Google Products do have a promising start but the question remains how are they going to penetrate in users heart. We all know that Google Wave was the most trending topic in 2009 on Twitter but unfortunately for ento geeks it didn't proved much of a treat. However its power can only be judged if you have the required requirement for it. For now fingers are crossed for Google designed, HTC manufactured "Nexus One" and how it will be decorated with Android 2.1, is still questionable keeping in mind Nokia N900, Apple iPhone, Motorola Droid and Sony Ericsson Xperia. We have seen many screen shots and its boot animation couple of days ago. Not to forget it is said to be equipped with Snapdragon processor with a tag price of $199.  Moreover rumors are that there will be special discount packages for old GMail users and will be available online and unlocked via Google. http://google.com/nexusone seems one authenticated site for  Nexus one pre-orders but is down.
