Opera Mobile 10 Beta for Windows Mobile

Opera unveiled its browser in series of gadgets for Windows Mobiles. Couple of weeks ago Smartphones were the one to get the treat and now its for Windows Mobile platform. It is rich in interface and design, faster browsing and compliants with web standards, enhanced security features and comes with developer tools. Like the Opera Mini and Opera 10 beta for Smartphones it has a intuitive interface, tabbed browsing, speed dial, opera turbo and adaptive zoom. Touch screen users have a support for easy navigation and kinetic scrolling which will make it more easier to navigate. Control of private data will be possible by clearing history and opera turbo will allow secure bank transactions hence avoiding encrypted traffic even through opera servers.


Fedora 12 Announced

Fedora 12 has come out powered with Linux Kernel 2.6.31, KDE 4.3 and GNOME 2.28 Desktop environments. The Fedora 12 focuses on Netbooks, Desktop, Virtualization and system administration. Highlights of Fedora 12

Adobe AIR 2 Beta

Adobe AIR 2 Beta? Yes definitely its time we should see some new change, Isn't it? Released to public includes less CPU memory consumption, enhanced API for Mass storage device integration, access from USB, Flash memory, Digital Cameras and many more. Microphone will get recording/recording access without server help. Multi Touch support for hardware compatible like in Windows 7 or Mac OS X Snow Leopard gestures. Google Earth 2.0 for iPhone/iPod Touch

Google has officially announced the new version of its popular and free application. Google Earth was firstly introduced about one year ago and is the second most downloaded free application overall. New version helps to view maps just like it is created on desktop. If you are planning for a vacation for tracking or hiking Google Map could be quite helpful. Design track on desktop and import KML file in My Maps in Google Maps. Multiple language support, improved icon selection and performance are few of the features.

New Moon fever is over rising the mercury. With less than a week left for the Twilight extravaganza to start, its boiling hot. To keep up the excitement Bing team has come up with an innovative Twilight Virtual Tour.  This web based video application bring Forks, La Push, Port Angeles an Volterra, The Cullen house, Fork's Police station, Fork's Hospital, Bella italia, The dress shop, The book store, The High school and more right to your desktop. When you click to any location it gives a detailed view of the location with showing streets, roads etc. In addition it also gives short cut navigation to the near most popular places with distance mentioned in miles. It also gives the option to watch locations more precisely with photos and videos powered by Bing search.

WiFi Hotspot with Virtual Router

Connectify is the one application which allows us to convert Laptop/PC running Windows 7 into a WiFi HotSpot. However there are some limitations with Connectify. Firstly its beta version is free and final version won't be. Secondly it supports a limited number of Wireless Cards.


If your plans are long term, choose Virtual Router. For now its in beta and unlike Connectify, Virtual Router final version will be free. Apart from Windows 7 it also supports Windows Server 2008 R2. It uses WPA2 encryption and this application is purely written in C#.

Microsoft Official page to Download or try its Beta version is live now. It is free to try the beta version or try the beta version online using your hotmail or live id. The download offers Home and Business editions which include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook and Web Apps. Where as Office Professional beta include Access and Publisher in addition to Home/Business editions. There is another volume available Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta which is a suite pack.
