Many of the GMail users have not yet received Google Wave Invitations. And there are no further invitations available with Wave users. This is same like when first GMail was launched. Mozilla is conducting tests for its plug-in checking page. This site allows to automatically ping Mozilla servers which in response returns list of plugins installed on your pc with their status (vulnerable or safe) and action to perform (Up to Date or needs upgrade).

In my case not all the plugins were scanned up, like Adobe Acrobat, iTunes Application Detector, Microsoft DRM, Google Picasa, Vivox Voice Plugin, Windows Genuine Advantage among many were left out. This may be because its still in beta testing stages. However its fully functional prototype will be embedded with Firefox 3.6 to be released in coming days.

How to back up your Firefox

There are two ways provided here to back up your Firefox.

1. Firefox AddOn

FEBE is firefox AddOn used for the Firefox backup. There are two ways in which you can backup using this plugin, but first set the directory (Tools>FEBE>FEBE Options>Directory)

• Selective Method allows you to specify exactly what parts of Firefox to include. Extensions and themes are rebuilt as separate, installable files (.xpi or .jar). These files can be installed in any Firefox installation just as if they were pulled from the Firefox Add-ons page (AMO), Simply open them with File>Open File.

• Full profile backup includes everything contained in your Firefox profile. It is all or nothing and cannot be selectively restored (at least not easily). A restored profile will look exactly the same as when the backup was performed.

Firefox 3.7 GUI Redesign for Windows 7, Vista and XP

Firefox 3.7 will be a great treat for firefox users. Apart from security updates and fast internet browsing features, it will undergo a GUI redesign.

1. Embracing Glass: Toolbar and Tabs using Glass. Buttons translucent and slightly glossy to meld with the toolbar. Raised 3D lookachieve tactile "feel".

WebMail notifier is a smart addon for firefox users which checks your any number of webmail accounts and notifies unread emails. By adding this addon in firefox a small envelope icon is placed at lower left side of the browser.
Any number of email accounts can be added from service providers like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail. Do not forget to check the "Enable Auto Login" if you are tired to write your username and password every time.

Vista-FoxTab AddOn
